GCash has made the Philippine government’s Retail Treasury Bond 32 (RTB 32) available to mobile wallet users starting Sept. 29 through its GBonds feature.
The offering, distributed in partnership with Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX) Inc., PDAX Securities and the Bureau of the Treasury, carries a 2.5-year term with a fixed interest rate of 6.875 percent per annum paid quarterly. The primary offer runs through Oct. 7, unless closed early by the Bureau of the Treasury.

Eligible individuals can invest starting at ₱5,000 without paying transaction fees during the primary offering period. At the 6.875 percent annual rate, a ₱5,000 investment generates approximately ₱68.75 in quarterly payouts after deducting the 20 percent withholding tax.
The bonds will be issued on Oct. 12, 2026, and will mature on April 12, 2029. Principal repayment is guaranteed at face value at maturity, though selling prior to maturity may return more or less than the original investment. To participate, users must be at least 18 years old and fully verified on the GCash platform. A traditional bank account is not required to register or invest.
“Investing shouldn’t feel complicated or out of reach,” said Darvin Su, general manager for wealth management at GCash. “Through GBonds, we want more Filipinos to have access to simple and trusted ways to grow their money.”
The RTB 32 issuance marks 25 years of the Philippine government’s retail treasury bond program. Capital raised from the offering will fund public sector initiatives, including education, healthcare, agriculture and infrastructure.
GCash mobile wallet operations are managed by G-Xchange Inc., a subsidiary of fintech firm Mynt.
